Each member is encouraged to become active in a BBG Committee. Committees help to move our agendas forward and get the best possible outcomes for our member businesses and their employees. Please read through the list and contact the chair person today about joining. BBG COST SAVINGS COMMITTEE  FOCUS: Use our combined power of over 100 members to secure cost savings for members. Chair, Gary Armstrong garmstrong@ccfoods.com BBG “Buy Local – Buy BBG” DIRECTORY COMMITTEE FOCUS: Produce an online directory of members and their business stories using the “buy local” theme and state-of-the-art technology, including videos. Chair, Brian McDaniels brianmcdaniel@comcast.net BBG TECHNOLOGY AND ADVERTISING COMMITTEE FOCUS: Use state-of-the-art technology to create, improve and grow the audience for BBG and its members. Improve the BBG E-News and Website, create Facebook and Twitter presence. Revise the membership benefits brochure. Chair: John Stutzman jstutz4biz@aol.com BBG SPEAKER’S BUREAU COMMITTEE  FOCUS: Schedule speakers of interest for BBG monthly meetings. Harness the expertise of the membership for public presentations to community groups.  Chair: Joanie Kilmon jkilmon@somd.lib.md.us BBG SPECIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE  FOCUS: Structure special tourism and community events to attract customers to member businesses, including Christmas parade, Bayfest, Hallowe’en events, member networking events.  Chair: Pat Carpenter celebrate.now@hotmail.com BBG SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE FOCUS: A Scholarship Committee has been set up to provide funds to high school students and to sponsor BBG members to attend seminars or online training regarding small business issues.
